History of Pornography

This is going to be a unique text.

If nowadays I am willing to develop a project as ambitious as this "New Age Sexuality" is, it is because throughout my 45 years of life I have observed the changes in humanity's sexual behavior, and how much pornography has influenced the life of many.  And this will become very clear in some documentaries that I will be recommending to be watched, of extreme importance in this scenario.

Throughout these years there has been a change of proposal in the pornography environment.  What started as something fun, with the proposal to help people to have a more fun and fulfilled sexuality, with much more pleasure and love, went through a turbulent moment with the advent of AIDS, where it was necessary to use latex condoms for the protection of actors and actresses, to avoid the transmission of these diseases and create awareness on people for their individual protection.

By the turn of the millennium it all fell apart, and the scenes not only came to be filmed without the use of latex condoms, but also, in particular in American pornographic productions, they became more aggressive, more violent, rude , with exquisite cruelties, such as dipping the actresses' heads in sanitary ware, causing choking during orgasm, or even choking actresses with the male sexual organ.

Therefore, what began with the proposal to revolutionize sexual life and promote more pleasure and freedom in the exploration of one's own body, has become an instrument of manipulation in order to distort, corrupt, and make sex something humiliating, degrading, with demonstrations of power over the other, instead of promoting Love, affection and pleasure.

Aside considering the discrimination suffered by those who ventured into this world of encouraged promiscuity, although of extreme prosperity and fame.  Many certainly prospered at the height of the pornographic industry, built heritage, fulfilled their dreams of fame and wealth.  But was all this really worth it, given the enormous discrimination of the ruthless society?  And then what?  And when it was no longer possible to make a living of it?  Either because the youth was already fading away or because the industry itself would face its period of crisis due to the enormous changes that the world has gone through these years, with the advent of the Internet, computers and cell phones.

Was it really worth it?  In the end, everything depended on the maturity and preparation of each person individually, as it can be seen in the documentaries "After Porn Ends" and "After Porn Ends 2", which can be found on Netflix.

But there has been a huge change in behavior over the years.  What in the 80's had its romanticism and a certain sense of exploration of the different modalities of sexual relationship, everything done with affection and a certain chemistry, as reported by the stars that lived in that era of glory of the porn, it all turned to be a degrading spectacle of humiliation and domination, in an environment where what really matters is the spectacle for pure entertainment, the easy money that it can provide.  Demonstrations of power over the other.  The sexual relationships began to have the resemblance of fights, of physical attacks worthy of an ultimate fighting championship or worse.

Not to mention that today there is no longer any affective involvement among the actors participating in the scenes.  It's all very mechanical and staged, without the slightest chemistry.

But not only this pornography that is sold on the Internet has been suffering a huge crisis with the advent of computer piracy that exists in the network, but also with the ease that today's technology offers to record videos and make them available on the Internet.  Anyone, male or female, can pornographically show themselves up on the internet!  And that has completely destroyed the lucrative business of the pornographic industry.

Specific channels have been created for this type of display, such as video chat sites where people can chat and display themselves sexually to an audience, which may be an individual or multiple signup services for the famous "Camgirls".  All this has contributed to make sex something individual, disconnected, cold and sad, people who isolate each other more and more, all because of the fear of contracting venereal diseases.

It's time to review our concepts.  This isolation of mankind cannot continue.  Of course promiscuity is not the answer!  Fleeing from getting related to other human beings will not bring evolution to anyone, on the contrary.  It will be a regression, we need to coexist with each other to improve and evolve, but we also need to discover ourselves on our own, without the aid of manipulative vehicles like pornography.

Sex is sacred, it is Divine, and it is a necessity of the human being.  And it begins within each of us, loving ourselves, loving our bodies, talking to our bodies, exploring ourselves physically, intensely exploring the touch in itself, masturbating.  To like sex is to enjoy touching and being touched, and that requires interaction with others, whether of the same sex or the opposite.  What really matters is that this must be done with Love, respect, affection, and this is something we must first develop by relating sexually with ourselves.  When we learn to love ourselves unconditionally, enjoying our nakedness and our touch in ourselves, then we will be prepared to relate sexually to another sexual partner, and make it with Love, and it will be spiritual before being physical.

And, as I have already said in other texts, just one!  We just need one partner.  There is nothing wrong with monogamy, only several concepts imposed by society that need to be reviewed.  And this can only be undertaken by those who have the courage to wake up and transform, to do differently, because only in changing ourselves we will be able to change the world around us!
